Audible and Life 3.0

Just tried one month of the Audible audio book service by Amazon. Previously subscribed to the Swedish Storytel but disliked the fact that you don’t get to keep your books after ending the subscription. Audible also seem to have more of the content that are interesting to me.

Just finished listening to the book Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark who digs into the possible scenarios of a future with intelligent machines, or possibly superintelligent machines. Everything from the doomsday version where someone evil releases an army of kill bots finishing of most of humanity, to a scenario where a super intelligence is used to build a social and geographical structure that gives all people what they want whenever they want it.

I have been fascinated by the idea of intelligent computers and machines since i was pretty young and always had the feeling that it could one day (relatively soon) become reality.

Meetings with masters

Very inspiring breakfast talk today with Andreas Liffgarden (Soundtrack your brand) and David Stenmarck (co-founder Epidemic Sound) experiences and “war stories” from creating successful businesses within the area of music technology. Also many other interesting meeting during this 2 day trip to Stockholm. What is striking is that music is a passion for so many people around the world. It is an extraordinary phenomenon really, when you think about it.
