When you feel like having something familiar. McDonald’s and other similar places seem to have a really good standard but the prices are exactly the same as at home. Pretty expensive in other words compared to local alternatives.

The awesome apartment – aka the palace
The first night in Sharm we stayed in a dirty apartment full of mosquitoes. I kind of wished that I had taken some pictures there to show the extraordinary difference compared to the the apartment that we switched to next day. And the price difference wasn’t even that wast. Like 40 € a night instead of 30 €. Now we feel we live in a palace. Since we are 3 adults sharing the cost we feel that it is definitely worth it.
Sharm by night
There are a lot of souvenir shops and all sorts of stuff to buy in the old city of Sharm El Sheikh. Some palm trees, a full moon and a couple of minarets on the horizon.. Exotic and beautiful at the same time.
Beach life @ Sharm El Sheikh
We have only been at one beach so far but it’s a nice and chill place with music and good food and drinks. It’s private and it costs a little bit of money to enter (about 5 € per person after some bargaining). But we decided it was worth it both yesterday and today. Maybe we’ll try some other place tomorrow.
By the way, we are staying in the Delta private apartments complex.
The very blue red sea
Finally the ocean. Beautiful.
Jalla.. Let’s go to Sharm El Sheik
On our way to Sharm El Sheik through the desert.
Really nice bus with air conditioning and about 8 € per person from Cairo.
The office
Working space… Check. It’s interesting how you build a skill in setting up this kind of acceptable office under any kind of circumstance. I like to use a separate keyboard and mouse like this. I also like to minimize the radiation exposure from WiFi etc so I always try to use some kind of cable although, as in this case, there is a WiFi antenna at the end of the cable.
Egyptian food is delicious
A night out
Tonight we had some drinks and sandwiches in a really nice party facility where usually weddings and other bigger party’s can be hosted.
On our way home, walking through the quarters of the little city. The beautiful uniqueness of every single house in the aisles. Lovely.
The kitchen
This man worked with kitchen design in France for many years. He’s a pro and seem to love his work. Truly inspiring.
