Trying to envision my new platform for daily creativeness

Quite a nice workday this Monday, now taking some time to envision the future a little bit. My own house and a grand piano would be really really nice and useful I think. I have realized over the last few weeks how much I enjoy just being at home, occupying myself with different projects, creating and learning, playing music and composing. Let’s see what happens.

Week end fun
After a nice Friday with friends I managed to squeeze in some nerdiness on the Saturday. Primarily consisting of one thing that I wanted to try for a long time: modifying a computer mouse and keyboard to expose the user to less EMF (Electromagnetic radiation). My idea was to move the wireless component out of the mouse and then to shield it off to emit just enough radiation to be able to connect to the receiver in the computer. I’m not even sure if I found the right component.. That’s how noobie I actually am at this kind of low level electronics.. But I finally chose one component that I identified was present both in the keyboard and the mouse. I was proud to at least make the mouse function with the component in question moved out to the exterior of the mouse. The bad news however was that the radiation still seemed to originate from the interior of the mouse even after the modification. The conclusion being that I probably moved the wrong thing 🙂 anyhow a fun little project that at least refreshed my soldering skills and will makes it easier next time I try something similar.

Ready for a great Friday
I honestly like the idea of Thanksgiving much better than Black Friday shoppomania. Today anyhow I will have lunch with a great friend and business partner and then a meeting followed later on by dinner with friends in the evening. Many reasons to be thankful in other words. The Future
What can I say.. this is utterly cool.. Robots and AI is something that fascinated me a lot since I was a kid. The whole idea with computers was from day one the idea to make a machine do the job instead of me. In the beginning I was not so impressed of what saw of the AI development, but just as you could expect, it has a exponential kind of improvement once it reaches a certain point… and now I can feel that that point is very near. It’s both exciting and a bit frightening to think of possible consequences of this in a few decades to come. OpenAI I think is a really great idea of the one and only Elon Musk. Once AI “takes over” it’s important that it is available to “all” and not a few select.
All cozy and creative home projects week end
Planned to go see some friends but the sudden icy road conditions made me stay home for safety reasons..
Turned out kind of cozy any how.. I actually always loved being on my own fixing and creating stuff.. learning something new or and inventing something. This week end I ended up installing my first linux server on an old (and big..) PC that stood in the corner for many years. That was fun. The actual reason for this project was that I was thinking of setting up my own web hosting for my web site customers.. but before I invest a lot of money in server power I figured it was good to learn a little bit first about how to use them..
Playing some more piano.. always fun, always a meditative and spiritually rewarding experience.
The more I hang out in this old house the more I love this kind of life (yes I have been here back and forth over the last few years, and actually about 30 years in total if I count allt the summers spent here growing up). It’s a really nice place.. But nevertheless it almost surprises me how much I love living in the peaceful countryside. Spending the days working with the computer stuff, playing music and everything in between.. I said for a long time that I would like to buy my own house, but now for the first time I guess I can really say that it is something that I really want. So let’s see what the future holds.. Stay tuned..

First Linux server installation.. Always wanted to try this, and what do you know.. finally a reality.. Doesn’t it feel good to do something that you always kind of wanted, but always put off? 🙂
Don’t know why this always happens to me.. I get creative and time flies.. and all of a sudden it’s dawn the next day..
Couch mode – reading contracts and agreements
New mentors, and one step closer to having a new member on our team. Feels good. In a couple of weeks we will hopefully be proceeding faster in this project 🙂 I am looking forward to revealing all the details hopefully within a month or two. Stay tuned.
Meeting with mentors
Meeting today with our new mentors and “startup specialists” that we will be working with in the months to come. Very professional and humble individuals. Very excited and so much looking forward to this cooperation.
